Marion, IN – Cumberlands men's swimming took recorded 15 first place and 12 second places finishes en route to a 210-39 win over Indiana Wesleyan Saturday afternoon.  The Patriots notched one "A" cut and 12 NAIA provisional cuts on the day.

Liam Smith kicked off the meet by punching his ticket to the NAIA National Championship after he scored a 204.85 on the one-meter diving.  It is the first "A" cut achieved by a Patriot this season and is the fourth highest score in program history.

UC followed that up with Jokubas Jankauskas, Leon Irmer, Thomas Holzkamm, and Ruben Gonzalez de Oliveira teaming up to win the 400-medley relay, clocking a time of 3:28.43.

Cumberlands had ten different swimmers post individual wins on the day led by Ruithiik Satti and Jankauskas, who notched a pair of individual wins.  Satti took first place in the 200 free clocking a time of 1:47.29, before he touched the wall in 1:57.421 to win the 200 back.

Jankauskas went 48.17 to win the 100 free, before he pulled away from the field to win the 200 IM clocking a time of 1:57.82.  Andres Caicedo went 1:59.33 to finish runner-up and clip the provisional cut.

Agustin Rasche led a trio of Patriots the earned provisional cuts in the 100 fly.  Rasche posted a winning time of 52.59, while Gonzalez de Oliveira and Holzkamm finished in 52.82 and 52.88, respectively. Gonzalez won the 50 free touching the wall in 21.94.

In his Patriot debut, Dorian Bachlaj went 58.80 to win the 100 breast, while Irmer clocked a 59.26.  Mateus Cruz touched the wall in 51.65 to win the 100 back, which was a NAIA cut.
Jose Arazyus won the 1650 free (17:40.25), while Mikolaj Kala took first in the 500 free (4:56.36).  Marcos Del Vado Sanz (200 breast, 2:16.88) and Marcelo Rojas (200 fly, 2:01.20) posted the Patriots final two individual wins of the meet.

The Patriots will return to the water on Friday, November 3, when they host Centre.  Cumberlands home opener is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Patriots Aquatic Center.
