Williamsburg, KY – The Pats Esports team have continued their NECC and ECAC play this season with multiple solid performances. They are now 22-8 overall on the year, with winning records in every game that they have competed in.
Valorant
UC's Valorant squad earned a pair of 2-0 wins over Fisher College and St. Clair CC before dropping a match to Wichita State. Against Fisher, the Pats took the first game 13-11 and the second 13-10. Shane Vangraafeiland led the way for UC with 48 kills combined.
Against St. Clair, Cumberlands took game one behind Austin Kosuda's 25 kill match while Connor Reynolds finished with 24 kills to win game two.
Overwatch
Cumberlands picked up two wins in Overwatch in the past week. They began with a close 3-2 victory over Middle Tennessee State before taking down the University of Kentucky with a flawless 3-0 map count. They finished their week against William & Mary, where they fell in a close 3-1 loss.
Super Smash Bros
The Pats Super Smash Bros team extended their win-streak to five games after picking up back-to-back 2-0 victories over Defiance College and SUNY Plattsburgh. They move to 5-1 on the year, and have not lost a game since September 23rd, winning each of their last five matches 2-0.
League of Legends
A big win over Gallaudet University moved UC's LOL record to 2-0 on the season. UC took down the Bison in two straight matches before losing to Catawba College 1-2 for their first ECAC loss of the season.
Rocket League
The Patriots continued their dominance in Rocket League this year with a 4-1 win over New York Tech. Cumberlands are now 4-0 on the year, with undefeated records in NECC and ECAC play.
Rainbow Six Siege
Cumberlands R6 team has faced off against stiff competition over the last week. They picked up their first win in four games a night ago against Grandy Canyon University. UC did not drop a round, winning both maps 7-0 led by senior, Jon "Budge" Cox and Insomn1ac. Budge finished the series 19 and 6 while Insomn1ac went 22 and 4.
