Bowling Green, KY - Patriots junior Theo Andersson has been named the Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. The honor marks the first weekly award of Andersson's career and the second earned by a Patriot this season.

Andersson earned the recognition following a standout performance at the Music City Collegiate last week. After opening with an even-par 72, he caught fire in the second round, firing six under to finish at 138 (-6) and tie for second overall. He placed tied for second at this event.

The Katrineholm, Sweden native's scorecard featured 10 birdies and an eagle, highlighting one of the strongest individual performances of the tournament. His second-round 66 came within just two strokes of the program's 18-hole record.

The Patriots return to the green on October 13-14 at the Gibson Bay Invitational, hosted by Lindsey Wilson University in Richmond, Kentucky.
