Bowling Green, KY – The UC divers made conference history as they swept the MSC weekly honors, conference officials announced Monday.
Aidan Crutchfield becomes the men's diver to garner a weekly honor, while
Morgan Schraudner is just the second women's diver to garner this honor.
Both divers had standout performances during the Centre Diving Invite, which kicked off the Patriots season.
Crutchfield hit a NAIA national cut on both boards during UC's season opener. The freshman opened the meet by scoring a 214.94 on the one-meter board, clipping the national cut of 200 points. Crutchfield followed that up tallying a 212.92 on the three-meter board for his second cut of the day. That mark ranks second in program history and aided Crutchfield to place fourth in against a tough field.
Schraudner's performance was highlighted by a national cut on the one-meter board. The Mount Wolf, PA native carded a 180.07 to clip the NAIA "A" cut on the board. Schraudner opened the meet notching a 174.37 on three-meter to place third in the event.
Cumberlands returns to the water on Friday, October 17, when they face Shawnee State in their home opener. The meet is set to begin at 2 p.m. with live video available
