Richmond, KY - The 11th-ranked University of the Cumberlands women's golf team added another impressive win to its fall campaign, claiming the top spot at the Gibson Bay Invitational hosted by Lindsey Wilson University. Competing at the Gibson Bay Golf Course, the Patriots outperformed a strong six-team NAIA field, finishing first overall with a three-round total of (+59) to secure the team title. 

The Patriots' victory came against a stacked lineup of nationally ranked opponents, including No. 9 Lindsey Wilson (third), No. 17 Pikeville (second), No. 20 Milligan (fourth), and RV Midway (fifth). 

Leading the charge for Cumberlands was Ainslee Cruce, who finished second overall after tying for first through three rounds with scores of 75 (+3), 76 (+4), and 77 (+5) for a 228 (+12) total. Cruce recorded five birdies and an eagle across the tournament and battled Pikeville's Tayla Howroyd in a playoff for medalist honors, ultimately finishing runner-up. 

McKenzie Trautman turned in a steady performance, finishing fourth with rounds of 76 (+4), 78 (+6), and 77 (+5) for a 231 (+15), highlighted by six birdies. Just behind her, Jasmine Points placed sixth, carding a 233 (+17) with seven birdies over the three rounds. 

Rounding out the scoring lineup were Ginevra Capo and Atchariya Thanaudomkul, who both tied for ninth at 237 (+21). Capo posted rounds of 82 (+10), 74 (+2), and 81 (+9) with six birdies, while Thanaudomkul tallied rounds of 78 (+6), 77 (+5), and 82 (+10) with two birdies. 

In individual play, Breanna Trautman led the way with a 247 (+31), tying for 21st overall. Marina Mitjans finished 26th with a 253 (+37), while Jenna Pike and Malainey Dobbs followed in 29th and 31st, respectively, both showing consistent efforts throughout the week. 

UC will return to action October 27-28 at the Fall Mid-South Conference Tournament in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
