Foley, AL – The UC Archery team tallied eight podium finishes, including capturing a pair of national titles on the second day of competition at the 2025 USA 3D National Championships Friday afternoon. The Patriots had 11 archers score during qualification, while all four mixed teams posted a top six finish.
Chase White captured Cumberlands lone individual national title in the men's barebow division. The Warrensburg, IL native opened with a 188 and carded a 193 in the second round to finish qualification at 381. That score broke the program record by nine points. White added 26 points during the final shootdowns to secure the national title. The freshman becomes just the second Patriot barebow archer to capture a 3D title.
UC had a pair of podium finishers in the men's fixed pins division. After qualification,
Jackson Ratajczak and
Caleb Poe were tied for second place after they both carded a 436, which is tied for the third best qualifying score in program history. Ratajczak edged out Poe over the final three arrows to capture national runner-up honors with a 463, while Poe notched the bronze medal with a 457.
Lanie Nish led a trio of scores in the women's compound division. The sophomore utilized a 226 in the second round to ascend into third place with a 438. Nish utilized strong shooting over the final shootdown to move up one spot and capture the silver medal.
Sierra Sands tallied a 435 with 20 bonus rings to place fifth, while
Savannah Hoffman finished sixth with a 434 and 19 bonus rings.
Ceridwyn Salyers captured her first collegiate podium finish after posting a national runner-up finish. Salyers utilized a 204 in the first round to help her post a career-best score of 405 with seven bonus rings. Salyers remained steady in the shootdowns hitting three ten's to close out with a 435. Freshman
Alina Distelberg carded a 388 to place seventh.
In the women's fixed pins division,
Ayla Mills notched a 400 with eight bonus rings to place fourth.
Heather Carswell finished one spot back after tallying a 396.
Lauren Oosterbaan tied the program record recording a 333 to finish sixth in the women's barebow division.
In the mixed team rounds the duo of Mills and Ratajczak paired up for an 836 to capture a national title in fixed pins mixed team rounds. UC's mixed compound of Nish and
Blaine Kostrzewski (876) and their mixed barebow team of White and Oosterbaan (714) both captured runner-up finishes. Rounding out the scoring was the mixed recurve team of Salyers and
Roman Carpenter, who placed sixth with a score of 763.
Cumberlands returns to the range tomorrow for team rounds and the final day of the USA 3D National Championships.
