Bowling Green, KY - After another dominant showing at the net, senior
Sara Zampedri has been named the Mid-South Conference Attacker of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
Zampedri led the way for the #10 Patriots, tallying 31 kills and a .518 attacking percentage to guide Cumberlands to a pair of sweeps on the week. She opened with 14 kills, averaging 4.67 kills per set, and added 10 digs in UC's 3-0 win over Georgetown.
The Flero, Italy native followed that performance with 17 kills, averaging 5.67 kills per set, to go along with 10 digs and two aces as the Patriots rolled past (RV) Cumberland in straight sets.
For the week, Zampedri posted 31 kills, 20 digs, and a pair of aces, continuing to anchor Cumberlands' offensive success. She currently leads the Mid-South Conference with 3.82 kills per set on the season and is fourth in kills (218).Â
This marks her fourth MSC Attacker of the Week honor this season and the 11th of her career.
Zampedri and the rest of the #10 Patriots will be back in action on Friday October 10
th when they host Bethel University. The match is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ET. Â
