                     Greencastle, IN – The Patriots men's swimming & diving team picked up right where they left off tallying four pool records, a school record, and 15 national cuts as they closed out their meet against DePauw Saturday afternoon.  Cumberlands won all nine events that were contested on the day and pulled away for the 267-86 win.
Cumberlands opened the day with 
Brandon Holder, 
Leon Irmer, 
Alexander Poulsen, and 
Adam Geddis teaming up in the 200-medley relay.  The quartet of swimmers clocked a 1:29.53 to break the pool record and post the second fastest time in the NAIA this season.
The Patriots dominating relay performance continued in the 400 free, where UC broke both the pool and school record.  
Arvid Farro started the relay before Holder, Geddis, and Poulsen touched the water as they posted a NAIA-best time of 2:59.07.
Poulsen and Holder each added an individual win and pool record to close out the meet. Poulsen clocked a 44.49 to pull away in the 100 free. Farro and Geddis rounded out the top three finishes with times of 45.54 and 45.91, respectively.  All three times clipped the NAIA provisional cut.
Holder touched the wall in 1:50.19 to win the 200 back and notched the third fastest time in the NAIA.  
Ruthiik Satti finished runner-up with a provisional cut time of 1:55.69.
Satti followed that up by winning the 100 fly, clocking a time of 51.04.  Juan Pablo Ramirez Zapata went 52.02 to edge out teammate 
Zsombor Bene (52.09) for second place.
Fabrizio Pacioni notched a pair of wins and NAIA standards.  He opened the day winning the 200 breast with a time of 2:08.66, before clocking a 1:53.50 to win the 200 IM.  That time ranks second in the NAIA this season.  Bene clocked a 1:57.24 to earn his second cut of the day.
In three-meter diving, 
Aidan Crutchfield posted a season-best score of 216.60 to pull away for the win.  
Grayson Sturgeon posted a 170.25 to finish runner-up.
Sergio Saldamando Martinez captured the Patriots final win of the day as he went 4:42.97 to win the 500 free and hit a provisional cut.
Cumberlands returns to the water Friday, November 7, when they return home for a dual meet against Asbury.  The meet is set to begin at 6 p.m.
