Williamsburg, KY – University of the Cumberlands Assistant Sports Information Director
Jared Kilgore was recognized as part of College Sports Communicators (CSC) 30 under 30 for the 2025 Class, CSC officials announced Monday. The honor recognizes emerging athletics communications professionals at all levels of college sports in strategic, creative and digital spaces.
Kilgore has been with the Patriots Sports Information Department since 2020 and is in his third year as an Assistant Sports Information Director. In his time at UC, Kilgore has been instrumental in the coverage of Patriots Athletics that has captured four consecutive Mid-South Conference President's Cup and back-to-back NACDA Learfield Trophies.

Kilgore currently serves as the primary media contact for Football, Men's Basketball, Men's & Women's Track & Field, and Esports, while contributes to the coverage of all the other Patriot teams. His responsibilities include photography, videography, social media management, feature writing, graphic design, and statistical reporting—each contributing to the visibility and professionalism of Cumberlands athletics.
During his tenure, the department has achieved notable success, including three NAIA national championships (2024 men's indoor track & field, 2024 men's outdoor track & field, and 2025 women's indoor track & field) and 18 Mid-South Conference titles across eight sports. In recognition of his work, Kilgore was named the 2025 Mid-South Conference Assistant Sports Information Director of the Year, becoming the first individual in program history to earn the award. Kilgore also serves on the NAIA-SIDA Convention Planning committee and moderated a panel during the 2025 CSC Convention.
Honorees in the 2025 class were chosen by a voting group composed of the Executive Board of Directors, the Advisory Council, CSC staff, leaders from all CSC committees and selected past winners. Nominees must be 29 years old or younger on December 31, 2025 and a current 2025-26 CSC member.
