Kansas City, MO – For the fourth straight poll, the University of the Cumberlands women's basketball team continues to climb as they tallied 307 points to be ranked 12
th in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, released by the national office Wednesday. UC is 13-1 on the season with four wins over teams that are ranked or receiving votes.
The Patriots have excelled on both ends of the floor averaging 85.6 ppg, while limiting their opponents to 59.4 ppg. UC has converted 45.6% from the field, averaging 50.4 rebounds per game, which ranks second in the NAIA, while their 20.9 rebounding margin leads the country.
The Patriots have utilized a balanced approach with depth with five different players average at least 9.0 ppg on the season.
Joy Kendrick leads the way for Cumberlands averaging 15.8 ppg along with 4.6 rebounds per game and 41 assists.
Zaram Fredricks tied the program record with 25 rebounds in their win over Tennessee Wesleyan, while her 176 rebounds on the season ranks second in the country.
Lakin Burke is averaging 11.0 ppg to go along with 7.6 rpg, while freshman
Aden Clark and
Jaydyn Carrico are averaging 9.9 and 9.4 points per game, respectively.
Bethel earned 14 first place votes to be ranked atop the poll, while Dordt is ranked second with 510 points. MSC rival Campbellsville and Freed-Hardeman are ranked third and sixth, respectively. Georgetown is ranked 25
th, while Lindsey Wilson is receiving votes.
The Patriots will close out the 2025 portion of their schedule on Tuesday, December 30, when they return home to face Union Commonwealth. Tip-off for that game is set for 5 p.m.
