LOUISVILLE, KY – UC's women delivered a balanced lineup of performances on Saturday at the Commonwealth Collegiate Opener earning several top-three finishes on the track and produced scoring marks across every event group.
Ritorion Vigne led the effort on the track with a runner-up finish in the 200 meters, stopping the clock at 25.58 to secure UC's highest placement of the day. The Patriots added another second-place showing in the distance events as Elisa Helferich ran 10:55.73 in the 3000 meters. In the field, Kaielle Gray earned UC's third runner-up finish after clearing 1.55 meters in the high jump.
UC then added a third-place finish in the 400 meters behind a strong performance from MaQuoia Raglan, who crossed the line in 59.73. Lennon Little placed fourth in the event after running 1:02.44. A'Yana Gray finished sixth with a time of 1:03.60, while Abigail McKamey followed at 1:04.05. Ryleigh McCoy rounded out the event with a 1:08.75 result.
In the 600 meters, Caroline Cronen continued the team's mid-distance success with a third-place time of 1:41.59.
Vigne also opened the day in the 60 meters, placing seventh after running 7.79. Allie Bryson added an 7.98 finish in the event, and Kennedi Riascos crossed in 8.41.
The Patriots saw six entries in the 200 meters, following Vigne's podium finish. A'Yana Gray recorded a time of 26.74, while Bryson finished in 26.81. Little clocked 27.51, with McKamey finishing in 28.26 and Riascos adding a 28.81 effort.
In the long jump, Analei Sarakatsannis led UC with a 4.65-meter mark to place tenth overall.
UC's throws group contributed steady production across both events. In the shot put, Katie Slade posted UC's top mark at 9.69 meters. Delaney Deaton threw 9.16 meters, followed by Taylor Lunsford at 8.50 meters and Kelsie Peavler at 7.46 meters.
In the weight throw, Deaton reached 11.46 meters, with Lunsford throwing 10.03 meters, Slade adding a 9.90-meter effort, and Peavler finishing the event with a 8.72-meter result.
This will round out the 2025 campaign for the Pats. They will return to action in the new year as they are set to compete at the 2026 Rod McCravy Memorial in Louisville, KY on January 9th and 10th.
