Pats Break Multiple School Records and Hit Seven National Standards to Complete Weekend

Starkville, MS – UC finished their weekend on a high note at the Alumni Bulldog Relays and the Montreat Open. The Pats recorded multiple record-breaking performances today, hitting seven national standards across the two meets.
 
Alumni Bulldog Relays
UC came out hot in the opening race of the day as the 4x100 relay squad broke the school record with a 40.33 finish for third overall. This hit the national A standard and is the fastest mark in the NAIA this season. Cam Andrews and Travion Dotson ran two of the legs along with Isaiah Oquendo and Donte Sol.
 
The 4x400 also broke the school record with the fastest time in the NAIA this season, crossing the finish line in 3:10.77. Iloba Godspower, Roderick Soto, Andrews, and Kerrington Eubanks combined for the second-place finish, just 16 hundredths of a second behind Mississippi State.
 
Dotson led the Patriots in the 100m dash with a 10.35 finish for fifth overall and another A standard. Dotson's finish ranks third in the NAIA this season as well. Sol clocked a 10.54 for 12th while Oquendo's 10.64 earned 15th. Eddie Van Wyk crossed the finish line in 10.73 for 19th to round out UC's entries in the 100m.
 
The 200m saw Andrews hit a B standard time of 21.15 for ninth place. Van Wyk ran a 21.53 for 17th while Oquendo ran a 21.96. Matthew Chavers finished his 200m in 22.10 followed by Daniel Dixon who ran a 22.35.
 
Montreat Open
The day started with an NAIA A standard performance out of Cole Bennett in the 5K RW. Bennett crossed the finish line in 22:40.93 for second place while Lucien Beardsley clocked a 26:39.99 finish for fourth and a B standard.
 
The very next race saw UC's 4x800 relay squad take the victory with a national standard finish of 7:43.30. Victor Carpeggiani, Max Young, Ryan Ehrler, and Hauke Trost combined for the "B" cut effort.

Lucas Lambo posted a record-breaking performance in the hammer throw on Saturday. The grad-senior hit a 52.91m mark to win the event and cement his name in the record books. Bailey Muncy posted a third-place 43.21m mark as well. 
 
The next win for UC came from Sincere Irvin in the triple jump. The freshman recorded a 12.96m best mark for the gold as the only Patriot in the event.
 
A trio of Pats finished in the top-10 in the 800m led by Jackson Lowe who finished second in 1:57.27. Maddox Knight followed just behind with a 1:58.99 for fourth while Christopher Morse clocked a 2:01.57 for 10th.
 
The 110m hurdles featured Brandon Green as the lone Patriot entry. He recorded a podium finish with a 16.44 time for third. The 100m also saw just one Patriot enter the blocks as Aarontae Wesley clocked an 11.21 for 10th.
 
Grayson Rahbany was the top UC finisher in the 400m and 200m dashes. The junior clocked a 49.19 400m performance for fourth and a 22.48 for fifth in the 200m. Noah Kincade ran a 22.49 for sixth in the 200m while Kenneth Wilburn finished in 23.08 for 11th. Wilburn also raced in the 400m, crossing the finish in 50.75 for ninth.  
 
UC are set to be back on the track next weekend at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina, while also hosting the UC Multis event at home in Williamsburg.
