Wake Forest Results / Georgia Tech Results
Winston-Salem, NC – The Patriots posted multiple strong performances across two meets on Friday afternoon. The distance runners continued their time at Wake Forest while some sprinters and jumpers made the trip down to Georgia Tech. UC recorded three national standards and a top mark in the NAIA.
Youssef Asslouj recorded the performance of the day, running a 3:42.71 1500m time for the fastest mark in the NAIA this season. This A standard was the second fastest 1500m run in school history as well.
Hauke Trost and
Ryan Ehrler also ran the 1500m in Winston-Salem, crossing the finish together at 3:55.19 and 3:55.74
Last night saw
Ludovico Vaccari run the 10K at Wake Forest. Vaccari was the long Patriot finisher on the opening day of the meet, running a 30:33.26 10K for the sixth-fastest time in the NAIA this season and a national standard.
Victor Carpeggiani rounded out the Pats at Wake Forest with a 1:52.23 800m time.
At Georgia Tech,
Travion Dotson came away with a national standard performance in the 100m Dotson clocked a 10.43 for fifth overall.
Cam Andrews followed with a 10.53 for ninth while
Isaiah Oquendo and
Matthew Chavers ran times of 10.76 and 10.82 for 31
st and 37
th.
Daniel Dixon was the final 100m runner for UC, crossing the finish in 10.85 for 42
nd.
The 110m hurdles featured
Nigel Steenwinkel and
Brandon Green for the Pats. Steenwinkel clocked a 14.78 for 25th while Green came away with 42nd behind a 15.69 finish.
Seth Massie was the final Patriot in action on Friday, competing in the long jump. The freshman leaped 7.00m on his third attempt for ninth overall.
