Bowling Green, KY – For the second time this season,
Sara Zampedri has been recognized as the Mid-South Conference Attacker of the Week, conference officials announced Monday afternoon.
Zampedri averaged 4.00 kills per set while posting a .500 attacking percentage to help the No. 20 Patriots go 2-0 on the week and remain unbeaten at 13-0 on the season. In the sweep over Union Commonwealth, the Flero, Italy native recorded a double-double with 15 kills and 10 digs, while also adding three service aces. She followed that up with nine kills on a .692 hitting percentage in UC's win over Boyce.
For the week, Zampedri finished with 24 kills, 13 digs, three aces, and two blocks. This marks her second MSC weekly honor of the season and the ninth of her career.
Zampedri and the rest of the #20 Patriots will be back in action on Tuesday night when they face Campbellsville on the road in the conference opener. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
