Bowling Green, KY - After a strong performance in the season opener, senior Paige Frantz has been named the Mid-South Conference Bowler of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday afternoon.

Frantz captured the individual title at the DO Apparel/Brunswick Collegiate Open after tallying 639 pins across three games to average 213.0 per game. Her best round came in game two, where she bowled a 248 — the second-highest score by any bowler in the field.

In addition to her individual success, Frantz helped guide the Patriots in baker play, where UC averaged 168.75 across 12 games to place second overall. The Patriots notched a tournament-best 241 in the ninth game, the top baker score recorded by any team during the event.

This marks the first weekly honor of the season for Frantz and second of her career.

Frantz and the rest of the Patriots will return to the lanes October 4th-5th when they compete in the Brunswick Midwest Collegiate Championship in Detroit, MI.
