BOWLING GREEN, KY – UC's Lea Kuntsmann earned the Mid-South Conference Women's Track athlete of the week honors after a solid weekend at Vanderbilt, MSC officials announced Monday afternoon.
 
Kuntsmann delivered a standout performance at the Music City Invite in Nashville, Tenn., finishing the mile in 5:03.33. Competing against elite competition, the freshman clipped the NAIA B standard with her effort, marking one of the top NAIA performances in the meet.
 
This marks Lea's first MSC weekly honors of the indoor season, and the third of the year for her as she earned the award twice during cross country season.
 
Kuntsmann and the rest of UC's track & field squad will look to win their fourth consecutive MSC Indoor Title tomorrow in Louisville, KY. The MSC Championships will begin at 10 AM ET with live results available here.
