Bowling Green, KY – After a monster week at the plate, Ronald Almanzar has been named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
The junior powered No. 6 Cumberlands to another strong week, batting .467 (7-for-15) across four games.
He belted four home runs and added a double while driving in seven runs, finishing the week with a 1.333 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage. Almanzar's top performance came against Indiana Tech, where he went a perfect 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs to lead the Patriots at the plate.
The honor marks the first Mid-South Conference weekly award of Almanzar's career. Almanzar becomes the third Patriot this season to earn weekly conference honors.
