Bowling Green, KY – After another dominant weekend at the plate, Grace Ross has been named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, conference officials announced Monday afternoon.
Ross batted .571 (4-for-7) across three games in the Patriots' series against St. Francis (Ill.), recording two home runs, two doubles, and eight RBIs. She posted a 1.714 slugging percentage and reached base at a .750 clip, totaling 12 bases during the series.
Ross delivered multiple clutch performances throughout the weekend, including a two-homer, four-RBI outing in a tight 7-6 contest before following with another four-RBI performance in Cumberlands' 20-6 victory. Her production in the middle of the lineup played a key role in securing the series win and improving UC to 8-2 on the season.
This marks Ross' second straight MSC weekly honor as she continues her strong start in a Patriots uniform.
Cumberlands will return to action on Wednesday, February 25, hosting Tennessee Wesleyan University at 2:00 PM at the UC Softball Complex in Williamsburg, KY.
