Bowling Green, KY – While the Patriots have been busy preparing for the Mid-South Conference Outdoor Championships, the Cumberlands archery team continues to excel in the classroom with 24 student-athletes garnering MSC Academic All-Conference honors, announced by the conference office Wednesday. It marks the fourth straight year that UC has led the conference in honorees and second consecutive year that they have had at least 24 nominees.
Marissa Harding,
Lidia Quezada,
Ceridwyn Salyers, and
Landon Standish tied the program milestone earning Academic All-Conference honors for the fourth time in their career.
In addition to that quartet,
Mikayla Clemons,
Anna Jo Rush, and
Joseph West garner this honored for the third time in their career.
Heather Carswell,
Sarah Eshman,
Erin Heyob,
Savannah Hoffman,
Alexis McGraw,
Lanie Nish, and
Caleb Poe have all earn this honor in back-to-back season. Earning this honor for the first time as a Patriot are
Lilie Aguilar,
Alina Distelberg,
Blaine Kostrzewski,
Ayla Mills, Zach Neilson,
Lauren Oosterbaan,
Jackson Ratajczak,
Cammie Shuman,
Hannah Summers, and
Sheridan Weaver.
In addition to the all-conference selections, Patriots
Joseph West and
Claire Garrison were selected as part of the MSC Champions of Character Team.
To be eligible for academic all-conference each student-athlete must be in at least their third semester with a 3.25 minimum GPA. Across the conference 88 archers garnered MSC Academic All-Conference selections.
The Patriots will return to the range on Thursday April 9
th, when they compete in the USA Outdoor Regionals at the UC Archer Complex. Competition will begin at 8 a.m.
