Chris Kraftick Named 3rd VP of NAIA-ADA

Kraftick Named Third Vice President of NAIA-ADA; Moves Into Presidential Rotation

Williamsburg, KY – After serving on as a member of the NAIA-ADA for the past several years, Cumberlands Athletic Director has been elected Third Vice President of NAIA-ADA (Athletic Directors Association), it was announced last week.  Kraftick becomes the first Athletic Director from Cumberlands to be elected into this position and he has now moved into the Presidential rotation.

"I am incredibly honored and grateful to be elected as Third Vice President of the NAIA Athletics Directors Association," said Kraftick.  "I appreciate the trust my colleagues have placed in me, and I'm excited for the opportunity to help advance the mission of the NAIA-ADA while continuing to support our member institutions and the student-athletes they serve. It's a privilege to represent University of the Cumberlands and Patriots Athletics on the national stage."

Kraftick just completed his tenth year as the Athletic Director at Cumberlands and has guided the Patriots to a perennial power within the NAIA.  The Patriots captured their third consecutive NACDA Learfield Directors' Cup, while winning their fifth straight Mid-South Conference President's Cup. Throughout his tenure, UC has captured five NAIA Red Banners, while having a plethora of teams post top five national finishes in their respective sports. 

The Patriots have prided themselves on comprehensive success throughout the athletic department garnering a program record 17 conference titles during the 2025-26 season.  In addition, the Patriots set school records for All-Americans (176), All-Conference (365), athletic department GPA (3.42), while continuing to excel academically. 
 
Throughout his tenure as athletic director, Kraftick has been a driving force for behind the Patriots success.  Cumberlands has set record numbers in almost every statistical category yielding success both on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.  In addition, Cumberlands has made significant strides in upgrading all their athletic facilities. 
 
Kraftick is in his third year serving on the NAIA-ADA and has served as a member of the National Advisory Council.  He is currently the chair of the Men's Tennis selection committee and has served on both the men's and women's tennis selection committees for the past two years. Prior to that role, Kraftick served on the Mid-South Conference oversight committee for the three years and is the current Chair of the MSC Administrative Council.

The third Vice President position is a one-year rotation and Kraftick is on pace to take the gavel for the 2029-2030 school year.
