Hadac Named CSC At-Large Team Member of the Year; 5 Patriots Earn CSC Academic All-America® Honors

Greenwood, IN - The Cumberlands women's lacrosse team has excelled both on the field and in the classroom this season highlighted by capturing the AAC Regular Season and Tournament Championship to go along with 12 NAIA Scholar-Athletes.  Their success on and off the field led to program record five Patriots players being named CSC At-Large Academic All-America®, it was announced Tuesday.

Highlighting the Patriots honorees is Koral Hadac, who was named the NAIA Women's At-Large Team Member of the Year.  Hadac becomes the first UC women's lacrosse player to earn Team Member of the Year accolades, and just the fourth Patriot women's student-athlete to earn this distinction.  Joining Hadac as First Team honorees are Ashlee Baker, Mikayla Kimsey, and Anna Lobbezoo, while Emma Rittman was a Second Team selection.

"These student-athletes embody excellence both in the classroom and on the field," said Head Coach Kelly Buikus.  "I'm so proud of their accomplishemnets and our graduates specifcially are going to excel in all their future endeavors."

Koral Hadac has etched her name into the program record as well as the NAIA record books after a stellar year on the field and in the classroom.  In addition to being the Team Member of the Year, the Rosemount, MN naïve becomes the first UC player to garner CSC First Team honors for three straight seasons.  For the second straight year, Hadac led the NAIA in caused turnovers with 52, while her 61 ground balls ranked second in the NAIA. Hadac was an instrumental part of the Patriots defense that limited opponents to a NAIA-best 5.41 GAA and a 57.5% clear rate.  Hadac notched at least five caused turnovers in four games, including seven in the AAC semifinal win over Georgetown. Koral joined Rittman as the first four-time NAIA First Team All-Americans in program history, while being named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team for the second consecutive season.  Hadac is UC's career leader in caused turnovers with 179, while she ranks second in ground balls with 265.  She also closes out her career ranked second in the NAIA in caused turnovers and third in ground balls.

Ashlee Baker caps off a record-breaking season with CSC First Team Academic All-America® honors. It marks her second year capturing CSC Academic Honors, while on the field she was named a NAIA First Team All-American.  The junior broke both the program and NAIA record, with 70 assists on the year to go along with a NAIA-best 138 points.  The Las Vegas, NV was the catalyst of the Patriots offense and was named the AAC Player & Offensive Player of the Year.  Baker netted six goals and eight points in the AAC title game earning her AAC Tournament MVP.  She tallied at least five points in 18 games on the season. Baker's consistency has led to her being named the NAIA Offensive Player of the Week twice and capturing four AAC Player of the Week honors.

Goalie Mikayla Kimsey captured First Team Academic All-America® honors after anchoring the Pats defense to a 20-2 record.  The sophomore led the NAIA with a 56.1% save percentage to go along with limiting opponents to a 5.82 goals against average. Kimsey also notched 143 saves, which ranked fifth in the NAIA and fourth in program history.  The Jacksonville, FL native notched double-digit saves in four games, including a season-high 15 against SCAD.  Kimsey was named to the AAC All-Tournament team and was a 3x AAC Defensive Player of the Week.

After another strong year, Anna Lobbezoo garners her second straight CSC Academic All-America honors after earning Second Team honors last year.  The senior tallied 49 goals, 44 assists, 93 points, and a career-high 73 draw controls on the year.  Lobbezoo closed out the year ranked fourth in the NAIA in points and fifth in assists on the season, while recording 15 multi-point games.  She was a key part of the Patriots draw control unit.  The Jenison, MI garnered NAIA First Team All-American honors along with being named an AAC First Team All-Conference selection. Lobbezoo has etched her name into the program record books ranking top-five in program history in draw controls (244), goals (218), assists (104), and points (322).   

For the third straight season, Emma Rittman earned CSC Second Team Academic All-America® accolades.  The senior joined Hadac as being the first four-time NAIA First Team All-Americans in program history.  The Pickerington, OH native capped off a stellar career with 64 goals, 89 points, 105 draw controls, 68 ground balls, and 23 caused turnovers during the 2026 campaign.  Rittman led the NAIA in ground balls and closed out her career as the NAIA leader in ground balls with 283, while ranking second in career draw controls (621), and fourth in caused turnovers (144).  Rittman tallied 17 multi-goal games, including a season-high seven goals in the win over Montreat.  The senior became the fifth Patriot player with 200+ career goals to go along with 289 career points.
 
UC compiled a 20-2 record and captured the AAC Regular Season and Tournament title in the same season for the second time in program history. The Patriots defeated #7 Ave Maria 14-11 in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Tournament. 

Cumberlands leads the 2025-26 NAIA Academic All-America® At-Large Teams with five honorees.  The 2025-26 Academic All-America® At-Large Teams, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. This year 20 student-athletes were named to the CSC, including 10 first team honorees that combined for a 3.93 cumulative GPA.

The At-Large category consist of student-athletes across a variety of sports including women's beach volleyball, men's & women's bowling, cheerleading, dance, men's & women's golf, men's & women's lacrosse, men's volleyball, and men's and women's wrestling. Each school can nominate up to six men and six women in this category.
