Madisonville, KY – The UC Archery Team has the top shooter in four individual events to put themselves in striking distance midway through the USIIAC Indoor Regional Friday afternoon.
Miranda Lauria,
Josh Isenhoff,
Aaron Adams, and
Courtnie Carr lead their respective events after 60 ends, while seven shooters are in the top eight.
After missing the 3D season, Lauria returned to shoot a 244, 249 on the first day to finish with a 25-point lead over the second closest competitor in the women's recurve event.
UC has a trio of top eight shooters in the men's compound, women's compounds, and women's bowhunter event. Isenhoff notched a 60 end score of 587 to hold the top spot in the men's compound. Teammates
Jase Boils and
Clint Moore shot 576 and 572, respectfully, to be ranked seventh and eighth.
In the women's compound,
Tara Currie is Cumberlands top shooter after recording a 581.
Samantha Rayburn is in sixth with a 567, while
Brooke Miller carded a 564 to be in seventh place.
Carr and Adams continue to lead both the women's and men's bowhunter division. Carr shot a 590 to hold a one-point edge on Haley Golden of Union.
McKenzie Gaines is in fourth (572) as
Michaela McDonald is in eighth (567).
Adams tallied a 595 on day one to hold a two-point lead on Taylor Bell of Lindsey Wilson.
Noah Fields is in ninth place in the basic bow men standings.
The Patriots will return to the range at 2 p.m. Saturday for the final day of the USIIAC Indoor Regional. Live results of the event can be found
here. The Patriots will stay in Madisonville for the Mid-South Conference Championship, which is slated to begin at 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
