Bowling Green, KY- The Cumberlands women's soccer team placed 25 athletes on Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference Team, announced by conference officials on Friday. The 25 athletes are tied for the most athletes by any MSC school placed on the list.

The Mid-South Conference also released their MSC Champions of Character Team. Earning the honors for the Patriots was senior Savannah Prigmore.

Earning the honors in all three years of eligibility for it are seniors Selena Barnett, Riley Barrett, Madison Mirandilla, Laura Navajas Marin, Savannah Prigmore, and Jenna Rockwell.

For the second time in their careers Amy Anderson, Morgan Askey, Ryann Bryant, Shannon Dillow, Danielle Hampshire, Makella Hylton, Irene Medina, Chiara Michieletto, Tori Thompson, Whitney Vandiver, and Jillian Zurborg all received the honors.

In their first year of eligibility for the award, sophomores Madison Gamache, Sarah Hammerstone, Ryler Kirby, Natalie Ossege, Makayla Ousley, Laura Vogt, and Moa Widjeskog.

Also earning the honors for the first time in her career is Whitley Hoffner.

In order to be nominated for the Academic All-Conference Team each athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have completed at least one year at a college or university. The MSC also recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values the NAIA embraces.

UC is set to compete in the quarterfinals of the MSC Tournament tonight against Campbellsville. Kickoff is set for 6:30 PM in Campbellsville, KY and the match can be live streamed here.
