Kansas City, MO – After a strong start to the 2026 season, the Cumberlands women's soccer team earned nine first place votes to be ranked atop the NAIA Coaches' Poll, released by the national office Wednesday.  It marks the first time since 2024 that UC has held the top spot.

The Patriots are 2-0-1 on the season after a scoreless draw against #5 Marian last night.  Cumberlands has also posted a 2-1 win over #8 Truett-McConnell and the 3-0 victory against Union Commonwealth to open the season.

UC's defense has limited opponents to just one goal on the season as Morgan White has made seven saves, including five against the Knights. Samantha Sokolove, Maliah Mitchell, Juliette Charriez, and Vlada Milovic have limited opponents to 7.7 shots per game.

The Patriots have utilized a balanced offense with five different players netting goals so far this season.  Lisa Skjoldager leads the way with a goal and an assist, while Laura Bosca has notched a pair of assists on the year.  Tori Robertson and Letizia Traversone both have game-winning goals to their credit.

Keiser earned eight first place votes to be ranked second, while Embry-Riddle, Marian and Indiana Wesleyan round out the top-five.  MSC rival Lindsey Wilson is ranked 13^th, while Cumberland is ranked 20^th. 
 
UC returns to the pitch on Saturday, September 5^th, when they travel to Marion, IN to face #11 Indiana Wesleyan.  Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. with live video available here.
