Fort Wayne, IN – Career-best times for both Carson Johnson and Leonardo Daley move them higher on the NAIA qualification lists. The duo led the team's top-marks at the Indiana Tech Classic on Saturday.

Johnson was the second finisher to cross the line in the 3,000-meter racewalk, clocking 13:41.47 for the A-Standard. The time is an 18-second improvement from his previous time at the Turnstone Classic earlier this season, and a six-second bump from his previous best noted at the NAIA Championships a year ago. The new season-best mark will likely hold him steady at the number-four man in the NAIA for the event.

In the 60-hurdles, Daley placed third overall with a time of 8.21 seconds across the line. He likely moves ahead two spots to 12th in the NAIA with the A-Standard performance. It also was noted as a new personal best for the second-year Patriot, an improvement by 0.04 seconds. He qualified for the finals in sixth after pacing 8.55 seconds.

Ken Cobb placed seventh in a pair of events. He continued to pace close to NAIA standards, noting a qualifying time of 6.95 seconds in the 60 meters. He followed with 7.03 seconds in the finals. In the 200-meter dash, Cobb recorded 22.53 seconds around to the finish. The 200-meter time is a new season and team best.

Keith Williams saw action in the 400 meters. His time of 52.55 seconds edged close to his previous best in the event set during his last showing at the Turnstone Center.

In his collegiate debut, Malik Burns threw for 13.33 meters in shot put, placing sixth overall. It is the team's best indoor shot put mark registered this season. Three Patriots followed in the event: Lucas Lambo marked 12.37 meters, James Crawford marked 12.28 meters, and Jhawan Horton marked 11.16 meters.

Rounding out the day, Matthew Chavers placed seventh overall in long jump, his fourth straight top-eight finish. He measured 6.70 meters off the board.
