Louisville, KY – Ken Cobb posted a pair of top-two finishes to lead the Patriots at the Kentucky Collegiate Indoor Invitational on Saturday. Also noting a runner-up finish was Keith Williams.
 
Cobb won out the 200-meter dash, posting a new collegiate best time of 22.34 seconds around the flat track. It was notched as a .19-second improvement from his previous best, noted a week ago at Indiana Tech. The time registered as his first NAIA standard of his career as a B-cut.
 
The sprinter went on to finish runner-up in the 60-meter dash with back-to-back times of 6.96 seconds between the prelims and finals. Teammate Matthew Chavers followed in the 60, placing eighth in the finals, while noting a day's best time of 7.11 seconds in the prelims.
 
Keith Williams was the runner-up in the 400 meters, pacing 52.41 seconds around the loop twice. It was a .14-second improvement from his showing last week at the Indiana Tech Classic, recorded as his second-best time of the season.
   
Tristan Petrey placed fifth overall in pole vault, clearing 3.80 meters in his first attempt and 4.00 in his second.
 
Making an appearance as the lone mid-distance runner, Garrett Hadaway clocked 1:32.39 in the 600 meters for seventh place. It was his first appearance in any event this season.
 
At throws, Jhawan Horton led the Patriots at weight throw with a toss of 13.93 meters, good for sixth place. It registered as a new team best for the season. Lucas Lambo heaved 11.46 meters in his best toss of the day.
 
The duo continued on a shot put, where Lambo led a pack of four Patriots. Lambo tossed 12.47 meters Malik Burns followed with 12.33 meters. James Crawford was the third Pats finisher with a toss of 12.09 meters in shot put while Horton rounded out the group with an 11.50-meter showing.
