Individual and Team Standings
Bowling Green, KY - Following an improved performance during Tuesday's second round, the Patriots men's golf team moved up one spot in the standings. Cumberlands currently sits in 6
th place after they shot an 18-hole score of 312 (+24) during the second round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament. With just one round left to play on Wednesday, UC is in contention for a podium finish.
For the second straight day,
Gustav Barden marked the highest individual placement of any Patriot. The freshman from Sweden carded a second-round score of 78 (+6) to earn a share of 19
th place on the leaderboard. Combined with his round one 76 (+4), Barden has a 36-hole score of 154 (+10) to lead the Pats.
After 36-holes at the MSC Tournament, both
Imanol Camba and
Francesco Guarneri own a share of 22
nd place on the individual leaderboard with two-round scores of 155 (+11). During Tuesday's action, Camba notched an 18-hole score of 76 (+4), a three-stroke improvement on his first-round score. The veteran Guarneri posted a second-round score of 78 (+6) to grab a spot in the top-25. The golfers started the round strong as they both tallied two birdies on the front-nine.
Juan Murube carded a second-round score of 80 (+8) and currently sits in 37
th place on the individual leaderboard. The sophomore from Spain matched his first round 80 (+8) and has a 36-hole score of 160 (+16) heading into Wednesday's final round.
Snagging 42
nd place on the individual leaderboard was true freshman,
Braxton Caldwell. The Pineville, KY native posted a second-round score of 82 (+10) and heads into day three with a two-round score of 161 (+17).
The Patriots will look for a podium finish as they battle in the MSC Tournament's final round on Wednesday, April 28.
