21 Patriots Named to MSC Academic All-Conference Team

Bowling Green, KY – Four days after the conclusion of the 2022 football season, 21 Patriot student-athletes were recognized for their academic success as they garnered Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference accolades, the conference office announced Tuesday.  This marks the sixth consecutive year that UC has had at least 20 players earned Academic All-Conference honors.

Earning the honor for the fourth time as a Patriot are J.R. Lucas and Myles Simon.  The join an exclusive club of four-time recipients of this honor.  Kendall Adams-Young and AP Parham garner the accolade for the third time in their career. In addition to being named Academic All-Conference, Adams-Young was also named to the MSC Champion of Character team.  

Nine Patriots earned this distinction for the second time in their career highlighted by Nick Buzzell and Adam Caudle.   Eli Evans, Phillip Garner, Chase Parmelee, Trace Sexton, Micah Swim, Jacob Ward, and Bryson Williams are also two-time winners. 

Andreas Anderson, Nathan Boles, Walker Dunn, Addison Ironside, Brendan Lester, Joe Lucas, Joshua Seabrooks, and Trenton Tuttle are the eight Patriot players that earned this recognition for the first time in their career.

To be eligible each honoree must be at least a sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.25. In total 178 student-athletes from across the conference earned this discintion.  

Cumberlands closed out the 2022 campaign with a 5-5 record, including a 24-23 win over #11 Georgetown.
