Bowling Green, KY – Carlos Muniz caps off last week earning Mid-South Player of the Week, and as of yesterday NAIA Ball Player of the Week.

The Naranjito, PR product went 15-18 at the plate for an average of .833, with two walks. Of the 15 hits, he came away with five home runs and four doubles.  He got two home runs in the first game against UC-Clermont, then he came back in the second game he hit his third. Then over the weekend he hit one home run on each day against Saint Francis.

Head Coach Brad Shelton said, "Charlie has had a great start to the season. His approach and toughness at the plate is excellent. His power numbers are really good, but he's put a premium on not striking out. That is what has been so impressive to me".

Cumberlands will hit the road heading south to take on Point University in West Point, GA for a four-game series starting Friday Feb 18 at 1pm.
