Williamsburg, KY – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released their new rankings Wednesday evening with Tomomi Nagao finding herself on the list twice as she checks in at 10 in singles while being ranked as part of the 20th best duo alongside Mikaela Fros.

Nagao continues to impress in singles play as the Patriot's #1 with her holding a 20-1 record on the year for a career-high for wins in a single season. Tomomi was named the MSC Player of the Year for her efforts in Mid-South competition, going 10-0 in conference play with her most notable win coming against Lindsey Wilson's Alexandra Parra who finds herself 39th on the list. Nagao has been perfect when playing against top tier teams, going 8-0 when faced with a ranked team and she has caught fire recently as Tomomi has now won each of her last seven decisions.

Nagao was also mentioned in the ITA's doubles rankings with her and Mikaela Fros coming in at 20 as the duo has played out of the #1 spot for the Patriots with a record of 11-7 to this point in the year. This marks the third time this season Tomomi and Mikaela have found themselves ranked as they were 19th to begin the year and then at 17 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's second rankings release.

The Patriots will return to the courts on Friday in their quarterfinal matchup of the Mid-South Conference Tournament. As the two-seed, Cumberlands received a first round bye with them now awaiting the winner of Georgetown and Freed-Hardeman with the Patriots set to play at 3:00 p.m. at Buchanon Park in Bowling Green, KY.
