NAIA Postseason Poll

Kanas City, MO- Patriots find themselves sitting in the 18^th spot in the final NAIA poll of the season. After falling one win short of the NAIA World Series, UC ended the season with a 46-16 overall record and a 18-6 conference record.

Defensively, the pitching staff is led by senior Thomas Gutierrez, who is 9-2 this season with four complete games and three shutouts. He has pitched 89.0 innings allowing 94 hits and 75 strikeouts for an ERA of 4.85. Braxton Cotton game is also a regular starter as he pitched 90.2 innings with three complete games and a shutout. He has giving up 109 hits while notching 49 strikeouts for an ERA of 3.97. Then there is Hunter Rigsby who led the team is strikeouts with 87 in 61.0 innings. Rigsby has only allowed 46 hits this season and has an ERA of 2.51.

Offensively, Charlie Muniz led the team with a .418 batting average. Of his 92 hits, 21 has been doubles and 19 have been homeruns. Along with leading the team in hits, and homerun, he also came away 66 RBIs with 170 total bases. The freshman Seth Benner hit .399 on the season with 16 doubles, three triples, and 12 homeruns. Benner also had 56 RBIs on the season. Next is Sujel Arias, from San Cristobal, DR. Arias had a .374 batting average with 18 doubles, three triples, 12 homers, with 56 RBIs. Sean Cheely led the Patriots, the Mid-South, and was fifth in the NAIA in stolen bases with 47, while hitting .336, with 16 doubles, four triples and eight homers.

Looking at the Mid-South Conference, Freed-Hardeman fell to 22^nd, and finished the season 39-17 record.
