Results
Williamsburg, KY – Cumberlands rounded out their weekend at the University of Kentucky in the Jim Green Invitational on Saturday. The women competed in a trio of track events and in the discus for the lone field event of the evening.
Maggie Buerger was UC's top thrower on the day. The sophomore finished with a 35.56m best on her first attempt for 16
th overall.
Pia Stern also entered the circle in the discus, placing 24
th behind a 29.99m throw.
On the track,
Ashley Terry came away with UC's top finish. She clocked a 2:20.90 for 13
th overall and was the top NAIA finisher in the race.
Elisa Helferich ran her two laps in 2:30.05 for 31
st while
Maelyn Cooper came in just behind her in 2:37.65 for 38
th.
The 5K featured a pair of Patriot runners. Anna Rusing crossed the finish line in 19:10.49, placing 15
th.
Ava Newkirk also raced the 5K, clocking a 20:17.61 finish for 21
st overall.
The final two Patriots in action on Saturday were
Allison Bryson and
Beatriz De Souza who entered the blocks for the 100m dash. Bryson sprinted to a 12.72 finish for 28
th while De Souza crossed the finish line in 13/46 for 37
th respectively.
Cumberlands will compete next weekend at Eastern Kentucky University in their final meet before the Mid-South Conference Championships the following weekend.
