Bowling Green, KY – After leading the Patriots to another perfect week on the court,
Savanah Jolly and
Davey Slaughter have been recognized by the Mid-South Conference as Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. Jolly earned MSC Setter of the Week honors, while Slaughter was named MSC Defender of the Week.

Davey Slaughter anchored the Cumberlands defense, recording 70 digs and 14 aces across four matches, averaging 5.38 digs per set. She tallied 17 digs and three aces in UC's sweep over Lindsey Wilson before adding 11 digs against Campbellsville. Slaughter then posted 23 digs, six assists, and four aces in a four-set win over (RV) Aquinas and closed the week with 19 digs and five aces in the sweep of UNOH. The Mount Juliet, TN earns her third MSC weekly honor of the season and of her career.
Junior setter
Savanah Jolly continued to orchestrate the Patriots offense, totaling 130 assists and 39 digs while averaging 10.00 assists per set. She opened the week with 37 assists and six digs in UC's 3-0 win over #25 Lindsey Wilson, followed by a strong 39-assist, eight-kill, 13-dig performance in the four-set victory over (RV) Aquinas. Jolly also dished out 24 assists against Campbellsville, helping the Patriots remain unbeaten in conference play. With this recognition, Jolly collects her eighth MSC weekly honor of the season and the ninth of her career.
The Patriots return to action tomorrow when they host Georgetown College in MSC play beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET in the UC Volleyball Gym.
