Foley, AL – The Cumberlands archery team earned 135.5 points to close out the 2025 3D Collegiate Nationals as the national runner-up, Saturday night. UC earned three national titles in team rounds, while the Patriots scored in all nine team rounds.
Capturing national titles on the day were the women's recurve team, women's fixed pins team, and the women's compound teams.-
The trio of
Ceridwyn Salyers,
Alina Distelberg, and
Lidia Quezada earned the top-seed in the women's recurve division. UC opened with an 88-38 win over Muskingum, before defeating Lindsey Wilson 84-67 to advance to the finals. In the gold medal match, the trio was tied 90-90 with Rio Grande, however, won a shoot-off to capture the national title. It marks UC's first gold in the women's recurve team rounds since 2023.
For the fourth consecutive year, Cumberlands captured gold in the women's fixed pins division.
Ayla Mills,
Heather Carswell, and
Cammie Shuman opened with an 94-73 win before defeating Pikeville 94-72 in the semifinals. In the finals, the trio utilized a 34 in the first end to propel themselves to a 94-84 win over William Carey.
Cumberlands final gold came in the compound women's division as they took down Pikeville 88-79 in the quarterfinals.
Lanie Nish,
Sierra Sands, and
Savannah Hoffman followed that up defeating Union Commonwealth 100-90. In the finals the trio cruised to a 98-78 win over Rio Grande. It marks the fourth straight year that UC captured gold in the women's compound division.
UC tallied 2.5 points in each of the other five divisions after they reached the quarterfinals.
Cumberlands will now turn their attention towards indoor season. The MSC Indoor Championship is set for January 16-18 in Madisonville, KY.
