Bowling Green, KY – A career performance highlighted by etching her named into the Patriots record books, leads to UC's center Zaram Fredricks garnering MSC Defensive Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.  It marks the third time this season that the Lagos, Nigeria native has earned this honor.
 
Fredricks averaged 15.0 rebounds per game to go along with four blocks and 13.0 ppg over UC's two wins at the Southeastern Classic.
 
Highlighting the senior's performance was a 20 points, 25 rebounds, and three block feat in the win over Tennessee Wesleyan.  Fredricks' grabbed nine offensive rebounds and 16 defensive boards to tie the program record for rebounds in a game and became the first Patriot player since 1986 with 25 boards in the win. The senior played a pivotal part of the Pats defense that limited the Bulldogs to just 27.4% from the field, while going 10-19 from the field for a career-high 20 points in the win.   
 
Fredricks opened the week with five rebounds and six points in Cumberlands win over Brewton-Parker.  UC has now won seven straight games, while improving to 13-1 on the year.
 
Fredricks is currently eighth in the NAIA averaging 12.6 rebounds per game, while her 176 rebounds are second in the country.  She also ranks fourth in the NAIA with 58 offensive rebounds and 12^th with 26 blocks.
 
The Patriots will close out the 2025 portion of their schedule on Tuesday, December 30, when they return home to face Union Commonwealth.  Tip-off for that game is set for 5 p.m.
