Louisville, KY – The Patriots finished their weekend at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invite on a high note with a new school record and two NAIA national standards.
Sharon Jemili continued her red hot start as a Patriot with a school record in the 3000m run. She crossed the finish line in 9:46.05 for ninth overall, and the top NAIA finisher in the race. Her time is a top-five time in the NAIA this season, and an A standard by over 10 seconds.
The mile was the only other event that saw a Patriot finisher on Saturday. Elizabeth Lucason led the way with a 5:05.66 finish for a B standard. Tarikua Majocchi clocked a 5:122.09 while Julie Duedahl and Chloe West ran times of 5:16.19 and 5:35.98. Anslee Crosby rounded out UC's finishers on the day with a 5:40.14 3K finish.
The Patriots will now set their sights on the Mid-South Conference Championships in two weeks. The meet will be held in Louisville, KY on Thursday, February 13th.
