Campbellsville, KY – The Cumberlands cheer team competed at their third competition of the season securing two first place victories at the Campbellsville University Invitational on Saturday.
UC opened the day with a strong performance in the first round of competition to secure their first victory of the day. The Pats earned a score of 87.90 followed by Georgetown with a score of 87.43. Pikeville, Midway, and Cumberland followed rounding out the top-five.
The Patriots came out on top once again in the second round of competition securing a score of 88.83. Midway came in second securing an 84.88 followed by Pikeville, Cumberland, Campbellsville, Brescia, and Lindsey Wilson.
"I am very happy that we came out on top in both rounds of competition today. We have to clean up a couple things in our routine before we head into William Penn University and the Mid-South Conference Championship" said Head Coach R.J. Conroy.
Cumberlands have won four of their five competitions this season and are averaging a score of 89.83.
The UC cheer team will be heading to Oskaloosa, Iowa to compete at William Penn University on Saturday, March 1.
