Pats Finish Weekend at Vandy and Centre

Nashville, TN – UC finished their weekend at the Music City Invite and the Centre Indoor Invitational and Multis meet. UC had entries in the men's and women's 3K at Vandy, and across multiple events in Danville.

At Vanderbilt, Alina Boshchuk led the way in the seeded 3K with an A standard time of 9:51.31, a top-10 time in the NAIA. On the men's side, Luca Madeo and Noah Loser posted national standards. Madeo ran an 8:24.24 while Loser clocked an 8:25.65. Ishak Mekideche followed with an 8:33.84 finish of his own.

At Centre, Abia Kante competed in the long jump, finishing with a best jump of 5.63m for a national standard and second place overall.

Seth Massie scored 4717 in the heptathlon, a top-15 mark in the NAIA this year. Alvaro Legaz followed with 4431 points of his own. The duo finished second and third overall.

The Patriots now look ahead to the NAIA Indoor Championships in Gainesville, FL. The meet will begin Thursday Feb. 27th and go to March 1st. UC's men look to defend their national title performance from a season ago.
