Men Hit Three National Standards in Final Meet of the Regular Season

Cleveland, TN – The Patriots competed in their final meet of the regular season on Saturday, posting 14 top-10 finishes and a trio of NAIA A standards at the Lee Last Chance Meet.
 
The 5000m run saw a pair of standards from UC as Youssef Asslouj and Luca Madeo continued their impressive seasons. Asslouj ran a 14:09.12 to finish second overall while Madeo crossed the finish line in 14:20.99 for sixth. Both times are top-10 in the NAIA this season. Ludovico Vaccari also ran the 5K, finishing 14th in 14:41.51.
 
The third A cut came in the 400m dash where Jaysaun Smith ran a 46.52 for second place. Iloba Godspower finished eight in 47.98 with Grayson Rahbany just behind him with a 49.48 finish.
 
Four Patriots finished in the top-10 in the 200m dash led by Donte Sol who leaned for a 21.38 finish for fourth. Godspower and Smith finished seventh and eighth in 21.47 and 21.57 while Eddie Van Wyk paced a 21.59 for ninth. Rahbany rounded out the Pats in the 200m with a 22.29. Sol and Daniel Dixon also ran in the 100m prelims where they went ninth and 11th in 10.72 and 10.81.
 
Van Wyk made his 400m hurdles debut in Cleveland and ran a 55.09 for 11th. Daniel Hoxha was the only UC runner in the 3K steeple, pacing a 9:42.02 for seventh overall.
 
In the 800m, Hauke Trost led UC's finishers with a 1:52.65 time for eighth. Jackson Lowe and Max Young clocked times of 1:55.86 and 1:56.08 while Reed Richardson and Clay Hogue finished in 1:57.93 and 2:04.14.

Noah Loser completed the day in the 10K, clocking a 32:44.71 to take eighth overall. 
 
In the field events, Austin Meacham placed sixth in the hammer throw behind a 39.30m mark. The javelin saw Jack Lamey Jr. record a 52.98m toss for seventh followed by Meacham's 35.35mmark which earned 11th.
 
Bailey Muncy rounded out the Patriots in action at Lee University with a 41.16m discus throw for seventh overall.
 
Cumberlands will now set their sights towards the NAIA Outdoor National Championships in two weeks where they will compete for an NAIA National Title. Events begin May 21st at Indiana Wesleyan University.
