Northborough, MA – On the heels on a record breaking performances during the NAIA National Championships, Patriots goalie
Mia Bosah was named the IWLCA National Defensive Player of the Week. It marks the second time this season that the senior garnered this honor.
The Woodstock, GA native made 40 saves over the Patriots three games, including posting a .476 save percentage. Bosah's 40 saves broke the NAIA Tournament records for saves during a tournament, which was set during the 2024 tournament.
Bosah opened the NAIA Tournament with nine saves in the Patriots 16-9 quarterfinal win over Reinhardt. The senior made five saves in the second quarter as Cumberlands pulled away from the Eagles.
The Woodstock, GA native followed that up with a career-performance in the national semifinal win over top-raked Keiser. Bosah finished the game with 20 saves, which tied the NAIA Tournament record for saves in a game. That performance was the second most saves in UC's program history and the most in a postseason game. The senior notched six saves in the first quarter and made seven saves in the fourth quarter, including one in the final minute to secure the victory as UC advanced to the NAIA Championship game for the second time in program history.
Bosah closed out the season with 11 saves in the championship game against Benedictine. Her performance led to her being named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team.
The senior closed out her Patriot career with 295 saves.
