Bowling Green, KY – Cumberlands forward
Tori Robertson capped off a career week by earning MSC Offensive Player of the Week honors, conference officials announced Monday. This marks the first weekly honor for the freshman.
In her first collegiate start, Robertson netted a hat trick helping pace UC to the 12-0 win over Georgetown. She got on the board in the 17' as
Evelyn Saldivar crossed a ball into the box, where Robertson was there for the finish. That goal was her first career collegiate goal.
The Somerset, KY native followed that up in the 32' as she stepped in front of a pass and transitioned it up field for a goal to extend the lead to 4-0. Her final goal came in the 81' to complete the hat trick. In total Robertson tallied six shots, including five of them on frame.
Cumberlands returns to the pitch on Tuesday, September 30
th, when they host the defending NAIA champions and ninth-ranked SCAD Bees. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. with live video available here.
