Kendrick Garnered MSC First Team All-Conference Honors

Bowling Green, KY – After an incredible season, in which she produced career-highs in almost every statistical category, Joy Kendrick has been named a Mid-South Conference First Team All-Conference selection, officials announced Wednesday. 

Kendrick leads the Patriots in seven statistical categories, including points, ppg, assists, and steals.  The Albany, GA has netted 465 points, averaging 16.6 ppg, which ranks fourth in the conference.  Kendrick ranks second in the MSC converting 43.3% from behind-the-arc, while her 91 assists ranks third.

"Joy stepped up and had a fantastic senior season," said Head Coach Rick Reeves.  "She has worked tirelessly to improve throughout her career and I'm proud of her for earning this well-deserved recognition."

The senior paced Cumberlands scoring double figures in 26 games, while she netted 20+ points in ten games.  Kendrick netted 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds in UC's regular season finale against #13 Lindsey Wilson.  The Albany, GA native notched 46 steals, while grabbing 139 rebounds. 

Kendrick is currently third in program history hitting 41.1% from three-point range, while her 43.3% this season is tied for sixth in program history.  She has hit a career-best 48.8% from the field this year. 

The Patriots have earned the sixth-seed in the MSC Tournament and will face #3 Lindsey Wilson on Friday, February 27th at 8:30 p.m.
