Anna Lobbezoo garnered IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week honors after guiding UC to a pair of wins last week. Her performances is highlighted by a career-high for assists as it marks the second straight week that a UC player earned this distinction.
The Jenison, MI native closed out the week with six goals, eight assists, 14 points, six draw controls, and five ground balls in a pair of wins against teams that were receiving votes.
Lobbezoo opened the week pacing the Pats with three goals and three assists in Cumberlands win over (RV) Warner. The senior also scooped a pair of ground balls and notched two caused turnovers. Lobbezoo followed that up with three goals and a career-high five assists as UC took down (RV) Marian 19-4. She was a catalyst for the Patriots offense adding six draw controls and three ground balls in the win.
The senior impact goes beyond the stat line as she continues to be a vital part of the Patriots draw control team that leads the NAIA with 108 draw controls this season. She has also been part of UC's clear defense that has limited opponents to a 62.3% clear rate.
Cumberlands returns to the field Saturday, March 7th, when they host University of Health and Sciences. That game is set for 6 p.m. with live video available
