Kingsport, TN – A stellar performance between the pipes, Patriots goalie
Nathan Foskey was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Week, conference officials announce Monday. He becomes the second Cumberlands player this season to earn conference honors.
In UC's lone game on the week, Foskey made a season-high 18 saves to lead the Patriots to a road win over Mount Vernon Nazarene. The senior tallied 11 saves in the second half, including six in the fourth quarter to fend off a rally from the Cougars. The 18 saves are tied for the sixth most in program history as UC earned the 18-10 victory.
The Patriots return to the field Thursday, March 12, when they travel to Waleska, GA to face #4 Reinhardt. The game is set to begin at 3 p.m.
