UC Men’s Lacrosse Climbs to Seventh in NAIA Coaches’ Poll

Kansas City, MO – Coming off a top-ten win last Saturday, the Patriots men's lacrosse team earned 36 points to climb to seventh in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, released by the national office Wednesday.  Cumberlands has compiled a 6-5 record on the season.
 
Cumberlands is coming off an 18-13 win over then-seventh ranked Indiana Tech.  UC now has three wins over teams that are ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Poll.  The Patriots led the NAIA with an 89.9% clear rate and has posted a 56.9% faceoff win percentage.

Dakota White, the reigning AAC Defensive Player of the Week, has won 59.3% (147-248) of his faceoffs, while scooping a team-best 83 ground balls.  Ty Grooms has added 45 ground balls, while Kuwese Walker has notched a team-best 17 caused turnovers along with 25 ground balls. Nathan Foskey and JD Cook have combined for 140 saves and a 50.9% save percentage.

Offensively, Will Rogers leads the way with 31 goals and 42 points on the year as he became the program's career leader in both categories.  Dom Lulow has added 40 points, while Nathan Cook has netted 26 goals on the season. 
 
Madonna earned all six first place votes to be atop the poll, while Keiser is ranked second.  AAC rivals SCAD and Reinhardt are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively. 
 
Cumberlands returns to the field Saturday, April 11th, when they travel to Montreat, NC to face the Cavaliers.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
