Kingsport, TN – After a strong performance in Cumberlands 18-13 win over #7 Indiana Tech, the Patriots men's lacrosse team has swept AAC Player of the Week honors, conference officials announced Monday.  Will Rogers was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Dakota White earned AAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

Rogers garnered AAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after a record breaking week.  The senior netted four goals and tallied six points pacing the Patriots to the top-10 win.  Rogers netted the first goal of the game and added a pair of goals in the second quarter to help UC jump out to a 10-4 lead at the break.  He added a goal and two assists in the second half as Cumberlands earned the 18-13 win.  Additionally, Rogers broke the Patriots career mark for both goals and points as he has now tallied 150 career goals and 246 career points.

White earned AAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after a strong day on faceoff.  The sophomore went 19-26 on faceoffs with ten ground balls and a career-high two goals.  In the second and third quarter, the Burford, GA native went a perfect 12-12 on faceoffs helping Cumberlands opened the game and take a 16-6 lead.  White also netted a goal in the first quarter to cap of a four-goal run and scored a goal with 1:49 remaining in the second period to make it a 9-4 lead. White has posted a 59.3% faceoff win percentage on the season, and he leads the AAC in faceoff wins with 147.

Cumberlands returns to the field Saturday, April 11th, when they travel to Montreat, NC to face the Cavaliers.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
