Bowling Green, KY – After a dominant week in the circle, Jessica Cord has been named Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Week, conference officials announced Monday afternoon. 

Cord led the Patriots during a perfect 5-0 week, posting a 2-0 record with a 1.08 ERA across 13 innings. She struck out 13 batters while allowing just two runs and eight hits. 

The senior highlighted the week with a five-inning no-hitter in a run-rule victory over Georgetown. She followed that performance with a complete-game effort in a 3-2 extra-inning win, helping the Patriots extend their conference success. 

Cord improves to 15-8 on the season and continues to anchor the Patriots' pitching staff. 

Cumberlands will return to action at home against Madonna University (Mich.) with a doubleheader scheduled for 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM in Williamsburg, KY.
