Bowling Green, KY – Following another dominant week at the plate, Grace Ross has been named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday afternoon. This marks the fourth time this season Ross has earned the weekly honor.
Ross led the Patriots offensively during a 4-1 week, hitting .533 (8-for-15) with nine runs, six RBIs, and two home runs. She recorded multiple multi-hit performances, including a three-hit, five-RBI outing in a win over Bethel, and reached base at a .611 clip for the week.
The senior also played a key role in Cumberlands' ranked matchup with #3 Madonna, tallying multiple hits and scoring twice in the Patriots' win. Ross continued to produce throughout the Bethel series, helping power the Patriots to a series sweep.
In addition to her offensive production, Ross was perfect defensively, recording 13 chances without an error.
Ross now adds her fourth Player of the Week honor of the season as she continues to lead the Patriots' offense.
Cumberlands will return to action on Tuesday for Senior Day as they host Shawnee State University (Ohio) for a doubleheader at the UC Softball Complex. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 PM, with game two to follow at 3:00 PM in Williamsburg, KY.
