Bowling Green, KY – The University of the Cumberlands men's golf team continued to excel both on the course and in the classroom, placing nine student-athletes on the Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference Team following another strong season.
Leading the way, Alexei Butchart, Saran Jantratit, Colby Johnson, and Micah Steely each earned Academic All-Conference honors for the first time in their careers.
Eli Fischer picked up the recognition for the second consecutive year, while Pablo Lopez, Pedro Morgado, Theo Andersson, and Lorenzo Fiato each garnered the distinction for the third time.
In order to be nominated for the MSC Academic All-Conference Team, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least one full year at their institution.
Cumberlands (Ky.) led men's golf with nine academic honorees. Cumberland (Tenn.) is second with six honorees, while Campbellsville (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) each have five.
The Patriots tee off at the Mid-South Conference tournament Monday, April 27, with the last round set to play Tuesday, April 28.
