Cumberlands Repeats Perfect Score to Garner Fifth Straight Mid-South Conference President’s Cup

Bowling Green, KY – For the third straight season, the University of the Cumberlands Athletic Department has recorded a program record 17 conference titles to notch a perfect score of 140 points to win the 2025-26 Mid-South Conference President's Cup, conference officials announced Monday.  It marks UC's fifth consecutive MSC President's Cup as the Patriots also captured both the Men's and Women's All Sports Trophy with a perfect 70 points apiece.
 
It is the fourth straight year that Cumberlands posted a perfect 70 on the women's side as they counted eight conference championships en route to capturing the Women's All-Sport Trophy for the sixth consecutive year.  It marks the fifth straight year that UC captured the Men's All-Sport Trophies and it marks Cumberlands 13th MSC President's Cup in school history, which is the most by any school in the Mid-South Conference.
 
Cumberlands continues to get dominating performances from the men's and women's track and cross country team's as they sweep cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field to capture 60 points. The men's outdoor track & field team went on to capture their second NAIA National Championship, while posting a top three finish at both indoor track & field and cross country nationals.  The women's outdoor track & field team tallied a program best national runner-up finish.
 
On the men's side, baseball, men's soccer, men's swimming & diving, and men's wrestling each captured their respective MSC titles.  The Cumberlands baseball team captured their fourth straight MSC regular season title and their sixth in the past seven years, before advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the ninth straight year.  The Patriots men's soccer earned their first MSC regular season title since 2008 after compiling a 9-6-6 record, advancing to the national semifinals for the second straight year.  Men's swimming & diving won their eighth straight conference title, while men's wrestling captured their second straight MSC title.
 
The Patriots archery team continued their domination as they captured their eighth consecutive MSC championship after sweeping all three phases (3D, Indoor, Outdoor).  UC went on to post national runner-up finishes at the USA 3D, Indoor and Outdoor Collegiate National Championships. 
 
Cumberlands notched four additional regular season championships on the women's side as volleyball, cheerleading, women's swimming & diving and women's golf all took home conference titles.  UC volleyball captured their first regular season title in school history after posting a perfect 12-0 record.  The Patriots went on win the MSC Tournament and advance to the NAIA Final Site for the first time in school history. Cumberlands cheer won their fifth conference title in program history after being one of the most consistent performers throughout the season.  The Patriots broke multiple program records before posting a fourth place finish at the NAIA National Championship.  The Patriots women's swimming and diving team continued to etch their name into the record books as the only conference team to win a conference title as they tallied their 14th straight MSC crown. Women's golf took home their first conference title in three years after carding a 933 (+69) over the 54-hole tournament.  The golf team went on to tally a fifth-place finish at the 2026 NAIA National Championships.
 
The year continued with Esports making program history as they were crowned co-champions of the MSC for the first time ever. They took the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate title and made the championship match in Valorant, Overwatch, and Rocket League for a total of nine points.
 
In addition to the Mid-South success, Cumberlands women's lacrosse recorded UC's final conference title as they won both the AAC regular season and tournament titles.   
 
In total, Cumberlands had 20 sports finish either first or second in their respective conference standings.
 
Lindsey Wilson placed second in the overall standings with 132.5 points, while Cumberland garnered third place with 120 points.
 
The Patriots are seeking to win its third straight Learfield Director's Cup trophy and become just the fifth NAIA school to win it three times. UC was ranked first at the conclusion of winter sports and have captured the men's outdoor track & field championship.
